In photovoltaic manufacturing, electronic grade sulfuric acid is mainly used in key stages such as silicon wafer cleaning to remove organic and metallic residues, as a texturing enhancer for polycrystalline silicon surfaces, and for etching silicon nitride or oxide layers, playing an important role especially in the production of crystalline silicon solar cells.
